A CV or Resume should always be accompanied by a cover letter if possible. A Cover Letter Template can be very useful in ensuring that your job application has the best chance of being reviewed by the potential employer.

Cover Letter Template

It is not just a cover for the CV or resume, but an advert for you and the first thing that will be seen. A candidate should put as much effort into ensuring the cover letter is presented well, with good layout and well written.

The cover letter template should reflect the type of job being applied for and the nature of the application: is it a speculative application; a formal position in a conservative company; or a creative post that would require a more original and imaginative approach to the attention of the reader?

The cover letter can be used to show how you would fit into the organisation, your motivations, aspirations, enthusiasm and willingness to adapt to the business.

Make sure that it shows you have a knowledge of the company and an interest in the business. It can briefly highlight important aspects of the CV to make sure that the reader see immediately that you have the right qualifications or experience.
